RestroBomb provides this as a Progressive Web App (PWA) that works on any smartphone browser.
Do my customers need to download an app?
No. RestroBomb uses a Progressive Web App (PWA) that opens directly in the customer's browser when they scan the QR code. There is no app store download required. Customers can optionally add it to their home screen for a native app-like experience, but it's not necessary to order.
How long does it take to set up RestroBomb?
Most restaurants go live in under 2 minutes. You sign up, add your menu items, print QR codes for your tables, and you're ready. There's no hardware to install — RestroBomb runs on any device with a browser. Our onboarding wizard guides you through every step.
Can I use RestroBomb without a POS terminal?
Yes. RestroBomb is a complete cloud-based system that runs on any phone, tablet, or laptop. You don't need any dedicated POS hardware. Your kitchen display, order management, and billing all work through the browser.

Technical
What happens if the internet goes down?
RestroBomb's kitchen display continues to show existing orders even during brief connectivity issues. Once the connection is restored, all data syncs automatically. For areas with unreliable internet, we recommend a backup mobile hotspot. The system is designed to be resilient — orders are queued and synced.
Does RestroBomb support online payments?
Yes. RestroBomb integrates with Razorpay for online payments. Customers can pay via UPI, credit/debit cards, or net banking directly from their phone. You can also accept cash payments — the system supports both. Online payments are available on Growth plans and above.
Can multiple staff members use RestroBomb simultaneously?
Yes. RestroBomb supports role-based access with 6+ staff roles: owner, manager, supervisor, kitchen, cashier, and captain. Each role sees only what they need. The kitchen staff sees orders on the KDS, cashiers handle billing, and owners see analytics — all in real-time.

What AI features does RestroBomb offer?
RestroBomb uses AI (powered by Claude) for: mood-based menu suggestions (6 moods like celebratory, comfort food, healthy), smart upselling at checkout (AI suggests combos and add-ons), natural language menu chat (customers ask "what's good for someone who doesn't eat spicy?"), and weekly AI business digests with revenue insights, top dishes, and recommendations. AI features are available on Growth plans.
How does the Kitchen Display System (KDS) work?
When a customer places an order via QR code, it appears instantly on your Kitchen Display System — a screen in the kitchen running RestroBomb. The KDS supports 3 modes: Wave mode (course-based cooking — starters first, then mains), Rail mode (station-based routing — grill, cold, bar), and Cafe mode (batch by item — "3 Cappuccinos needed"). Kitchen staff mark items done with one tap.
Does RestroBomb support delivery orders?
Yes. RestroBomb includes a delivery system with its own rider app (Fleet PWA). Customers order through the PWA, you assign a rider, and they track delivery status in real-time. Zero commission — you use your own delivery staff. Delivery is available on Growth plans and above.
